Registered Participants are kindly invited to submit the abstract(s) of their contribution(s) by e‑mail (to esvv2009@vmri.hu), using the Model Abstract (WORD document).

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

At least one of the authors (the submitter) must be a registered participant of the Congress.

Please submit your abstract, in word format, by e-mail as an attachment. No other form will be considered.

 

Abstracts only in English will be accepted.

Please select and indicate one of the following topics:

·       Emerging viruses and zoonoses

·       Epizootiology

·       Evolution and genomics

·       Host-virus interactions and pathogenesis

·       Vaccines and viral immunology

·       Viral diagnosis

·       Other

Authors should clearly fill in all the requested information.

The Abstract Form should be completed in accordance with the Abstract formatting guidelines as presented in the first page of the MODEL ABSTRACT.

The size of Abstracts is limited to one (A4) page (all items included). Tables, charts, figures or graphs must have legends and be in black and white. Grant funding information (if any) may be mentioned in the Acknowledgements.

REVIEW PROCESS

Once your abstract is received (deadline: 31st May 2009), you will get an acknowledging e-mail.

All abstracts will be forwarded to the Scientific Committee for independent review. Authors may indicate their preference for oral or poster presentation, but the Scientific Committee reserves the right to designate the presentation format. Decision on the final acceptance is the exclusive right of the Scientific Committee.

Presenting authors will be informed about the acceptance of their abstract(s) and the designated type of presentation format by 15th July 2009 latest.

The authors have the right to withdraw their abstract from presentation if they do not wish to prepare a poster. However, they are asked to report such a decision immediately. Thank you.

Accepted abstracts will be published in the Book of Proceedings of the 8th INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS OF VETERINARY VIROLOGY (ESVV).
